It's been a really long time since i had a new post. (i find that this is a standard line whenever i create a new post because the intervals between every posts seemed to be a month or two. Sorry)

Anyway, I am here to tell you that my exams will be over soon. I will be having my science test tomorrow and i hope that i will do well. It will be over soon and I can finally relaxed. After the exams, will be the results. That will be the next thing everyone will be worrying about. But, I think everyone had tried their best and hence, will be happy and satisfied with their results.

Besides this, i actually had a new hobby. I liked to perform magic tricks. I am always amazed by magic tricks performed by others and hence, i will also like to amaze people with my tricks. Card magic is my favourite but anyway, it's just a hobby and I am only interested and learnt some tricks but I am not really good at it.

So, it's been a long time since I had posted a post. Now, I will post some random stuff to keep my blog alive. ( Still hanging on ).

A few days ago, I got back my results and it was okay.

Now, I am having my March holiday. As most people are enjoying their march holiday, I am "enjoying" mine in a very very different way. I had Chinese Chess competition! It was quite fun a few hours ago when I was playing chess at jurongville secondary school. Although, I didn't win any trophies but I got into the finals ( which everyone did =.=''' ). I hope I can achieve better result in my EP3. So, this is quite random without a subject to talk about. So, that's all. Yeah! MY BLOG IS ALIVE! ALWAYS HANGING ON!

Say "Y-E-S" ! This is the latest trend. What is the word that you'll say for your whole entire life? "YES" ! Say "NO" and you'll be a "no-man". Say "YES" and you'll be a "YES-MAN" ! =.='''

OK. Let's get serious! Today, Joshua, Hai Xiao, Ryan and I went to jurong point to watch "YES MAN". We bought the movie tickets for the show at 14 25. At that time, it was quite early, so we decided to go MacDonald to eat. I ordered one iced milo while the rest of them ordered a meal as I had already eaten. We found a empty table and that was when everything went crazy...

Hai Xiao started off by bringing the patty of his burger to put some chilli on it but returned to the table with a hand full of chilli. Next, Ryan Pee used the same method and put some tomato sauce on Grilled Chicken Foldover. Then, they began stuffing their fries into their burgers. Here were some of their "products":

Then, Joshua took out a set of poker card and began performing some "COOL" card tricks and soon Ryan joined in. It was crazy and Ryan began to dip his fries into the coke. It was quite disgusting though. But we really had fun. Then we went to the arcade ("Zone-X" and "the star factory") and played a few games. On the way, Hai Xiao introduced us to some sort of small little things which would burst once thrown onto a hard object. Then, they began throwing it around eveywhere. The ceilings, the floor and walls...They stopped throwing until we went for the movie...

"YES MAN" was quite hilarious and funny. In short, it is about a man who led a really boring life until he attends a "YES" talk. He is forced to make a promise to the public that he will say yes to all opportunities. After that, he began to say yes to everything, even to things that he does not like. Eventually, he began on his "YES" journey and his life turns from a boring one to a really interesting and fun one. But what's the consequence for saying "YES" to everything. I will leave that for you to find out. Joshua and Ryan also bought a "YES MAN" combo which consists of a coke, popcorn and a "YES MAN" Rubik cube. I heard more laughters from them when the screen was showing the advertisements than when the show was screened. The thing that shocked me most was that they played around and threw popcorn into the air. But all in all, the experience was new and fun.

After the movie, we went back to the arcade and played a few more games before we left home. Ryan was not taking the train and he pestered Joshua for the "Yes Man" Rubik cube and Joshua gave in. Then we went to 7-11 to buy a drink. Joshua bought a gulp which he shared with Hai Xiao using 2 "Brain Freeze" straws. Then, we returned home...

This trip was funny and fun. I hope that the next time I get a chance to go out with them, we will not eat at MacDonald again...

My Boring Holidays...

I had been too lazy to blog lately and it is about a month since I had blogged. Now, I will blog on my holidays. This holidays has been a really boring one. There is no more any other outdoor activities or gatherings in my holidays and I simply had nothing to do at home except playing some computer games, reading some books and watching some shows. I also helped in the painting of my house. Being a painter for a day was no fun but I will still help to paint. Painting is a new experience to me and it was really tired and tedious. For the first time, I really hope that this holidays will end soon and I think a few of my friends will agree with me. Anyway, Christmas and year 2009 is just a few weeks from now. Here, I wished all a happy Christmas and a happy new year !!!

Class Chalet...

Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting for a long time.

Fine, let's start with my class chalet.

Yesterday was our 1D class chalet. I personally felt that the chalet was not as fun as I thought. We were allowed to do anything we wanted but due to this, class did not gather together. instead, they formed groups and did their own activities. Some groups going to the arcade while others staying in the chalet playing poker cards. Anyway, let's move to the activities done during the chalet.

Yesterday afternoon, my friends and I went cycling. They were Nicholas, Ziwei, Yu Fei, Bo Jun and Rick. It was quite fun and I enjoyed it very much. We were like cycling happily then out of no where, a truck drove out. Everyone was like shouting and scrambling about and Nicholas was the at the last then. He was like using all his might to speed up. After that, we continued cycling. After a while we saw a circuit. We cycled a few laps around it and it was quite fun as the road was quite bumpy. Then after a while, we continued heading forward.

We were cycling when we reached the end of the track. If we continued going forward, we would reach the road. When we were about to turn back, Yu Fei and Rick persuaded us to go forward. Then, we followed. What a WRONG decision we had made...

After cycling on the pavement for a while, we did not know where we were and all of us felt anxious. We went past a bus stop and another resort before we found the entrance of our resort. Phew, what a relief.

Then we helped our teacher, Miss Ngo, to carry the BBQ food to our chalet and helped our with the BBQ.

After the BBQ, we went to the arcade and it was not that fun actually but the basketball shooter was quite exciting though.

Then early in the morning, we wanted to see the sun rise. Who knows the clouds were in such a position that it blocked the sun. Disappointed,we returned to the chalet.

Basically that's what I had done during the chalet. I was really tired when I returned home as I did not slept at night but only slept 1 hr in the morning.

Looking forward to 6A'07 gathering on 4th November...

A stupid but interesting day...

Fine, let's start to talk about what happened today.

Today, I went to school at 10.30am. I was almost late for the history paper-checking but the teacher did not blame me for it. There was nothing for me to say about the paper-checking. Just flipping the pages and listening to what the teacher said. Then, I went down to play table-tennis with my friends. After that, I went to play soccer with my friends. When I reached there, I saw my friends resting there, some playing socccer and some playing basketball. Not even for half an hour, they decided to leave for MacDonald. Zzz... Then, 5 of us, Ziwei, Qiwei, Boyu, Nicholas and I, went to King Albert Park for lunch. After lunch, we decided to go Boyu's house. Not matter how we persuaded him, he just kept declining us. Then, we decided to follow him back home. The chase began...

Then, Boyu kept running and running away from us, stopped by some traffic lights though. We kept chasing and chasing, trying our best to keep up with him. We seemed to have a "cross-country exercise", but it was a dangerous one. We ran through bus-stops, roads, school and even a wet market. People witnessed us running and shouting. We looked like clowns performing in a circus, behaving like fools. But what happened in the end? Boyu called his parents and his parents said no. What a disappointment! We ran so hard but in the end, everything was cancelled, wasting our energy. Moreover, we had just finished our lunch at King Albert Park and we ran a long distance from KAP to a place we did not know. (Although I did not know the place, I was sure that the distance was long) This so-called "exercise" had wasted both our effort and energy. In the end, we took a bus back to Hwa Chong. After that, another event took place...

Actually, I could take the bus back home but because they said they wanted to play, I alighted from the bus. Then, Ziwei said that he did not want to play. Once again, we persuaded him but he did not give in. Then, we decided to go his house and he said he was alright with it. Soon after, another bus I could take home arrived. At that moment, I had decided to go his house, thus I did not board the bus. Later, 151 came and a betrayer, Nicholas, boarded the bus and went home. At that moment, I decided not to go Ziwei's house anymore. Then I took a bus back home. On my journey back home, Nicholas called me to ask if I went to Ziwei's house and I replied yes. I wondered if he had gone to Ziwei's house. If he had, I had successfully taken my "revenge". :D

Today was really a stupid but interesting day. There were so many events we were planning to do but in the end, all were cancelled. Maybe, tomorrow will be a "better" one. That's all for now. I will be checking my Geography paper and English paper tomorrow. Hope I will not do too badly... :D

Exams had ended...

Whoo! Exams had offically ended. (Look at the countdown clock at the sidebar)

Nowadays, students will have started to relax and have fun doing their leisure activities, either playing their computers or some sports. In general, they are happy that their exams had ended. I am also happy that my exams had ended but I am still worried about my results which will be released in about 2 days. Maybe some of my friends have the same worries as I do and cannot be as happy as others but just try to shift your focus away from your results and have some fun before the results are revealed. For example, I may try to play some games and concentrate on other activities rather than thinking of my results. Just try not to think of your results for now and everything will be fine!

There are also some groups of students who think that holidays are boring. I do think this way and feel that holidays can sometimes be boring when I have no activities at hand. Maybe there are one or two activities in my holidays, either gathering with my friends or outing with my family. But, I had already said there were only "ONE OR TWO" activities in my holidays. So, my holidays may sometimes be really boring. Although of this, I still look forward to this coming holidays as there will be two activities which I think will be really interesting and fun: gathering with my 6a'07 friends and my 1d'08 class gathering. I really hope that these two actvities will come really soon and that this two activities will not clash.

My 1st trip to Mt. Faber...

Today, my family and I went to Mount Faber. It was a whole new experience for us but it was really tiring. Although of this, I couldn't deny that this trip to Mt.Faber was a really fun and nice one.

Well, let's go into detail what happened at Mount Faber...

Firstly, we arrived at Mt.Faber by my uncle's car. After a while, we reached the "Forest Walk". Then, we climbed up a slope. I was not afraid at first as it was not that high after all. But, after a while, I began to fear as the height increased. Overall, it was quite a good experience for me. The "Forest Walk" looks like this:

Then, we saw a ice-cream vendor and bought some ice-cream. While my parents were queueing up for the ice-cream, my sister and I went to nearby playground. But I would not say that it was truly a playground. To me, it was somewhat a fitness corner. It was very special and we had lots of fun over there. After a while, our parents bought the ice-cream.

Later, we reached "Henderson Waves". It was designed in such a way that it really looked like waves and the design was quite unique. The scenery over there was nice too and I took a lot of photographs. When we reached the end of "Henderson Waves", we looked back and found out that it was actually this tall:

We were lucky to find out about the height after crossing the bridge. If not, our family might not have crossed the bridge at all.

Then, we continued our journey along the "Marang Trail" which is a road leading to Vivo City. As we continued trekking, we saw 4 monkeys in total. The monkeys were very adorable and their hair was very unique. Their hair was like a bundle at the top of their head. Next, we reached the peak of Mt.Faber and spent some time looking through the telescopes fixed there. My father took out $1 for me to insert into the machine to look through the telescope. Everything far seemed to appear right before me and the tiny, distant cable-car became really big and near. We took turns to look through the telescope. After that, we made our way to Vivo City after a flight of stairs. On our way there, my father spotted a beautiful flower:

Then, we went shopping for a while and had some fast-food before we left home.

Tired, tired and still tired. After the trip, we felt really tired but happy. We actually took 1h30m to finish the distance from Alexandra Road to Vivo City! I was sweating and tired but after all, I really liked the trip. This was my 1st trip to Mt.Faber and it was a nice experience for me. The bridge, the tracks, the trees, the stones, the beautiful scenery and last but not least, the time I spent with my family.

Phew, I do not need to trek anymore now. But in the near future, I will like to go for another...

A trip to my Primary School

Hi readers!
I had just taken my Geography test today and is taking some of my time now to blog.
Let's talk about today. Well, today I spent most of my time in my Primary School. At first, I had called my friend, Clarence, to meet at the bus-stop before we went to our Primary School. Then, when I was crossing the over-head bridge to take a bus to the bus-stop, I thought that I would not need to wait a long time for the bus as there were two bus I could take, 51 and 111. Just when I walked to the middle of the bridge, I saw "111" and I did not bother to chase it as I thought there was still
"51". Then, when I started climbing down the stairs, "51" arrived. Maybe it's too dramatic for you to believe, but it's true. After waiting for a while, another "51" arrived.
Then, I met up with Clarence and we walked to our Primary School. As soon as we arrived, we rushed up the stairs to look for our form teacher. Who knows, she had already returned home to prepare for Hari Raya tomorrow. After, we rested in the class and chatted with some of my teacher's students. After that, Clarence said that he was hungry and we went to the mini-mart near our school to buy cup noodles. After he bought the noodles, we found a bench near the area and sat there and ate. Then we decided to call someone to join us.(I really do not want to mention his/her name--just treat that person as 'it'). Then, 'it' arrived as Clarence and I were playing at a nearby park. Then, we returned to our Primary School to visit our Chinese teacher. Our Chinese teacher said that she had a tight schedule today and could not treat us dinner. After that, we went back to the park and played for a while. 'It' did not know how to play the "spider web" at all! Clarence and I had fun poking fun and stealing 'it' shoes and socks. 'It' shoes and socks really stink. Soon, we returned home.
All in all, today was quite a fun and enjoyable day for me.
There are still 2 exams for me. I really hope that I score well in the exams and pass with flying colours. Anyway, I am still glad that I had finished two exams, which were the one yesterday and the one today.

'Extreme Makeover'...

Yesterday, I did an 'extreme makeover' for my blog. That was my first time changing the skin for my blog. I got help from my friend and finally managed to change the skin and get another template which I liked. Thank you, my anonymous friend! I felt very happy as this time, I really like my blog and feel that it really belongs to me. What motivated me to get another template? I saw my friends' blogs and even my teacher's blog and most of them had changed their blog skins. Even my teacher's kids who are so much younger than me, had a blog and had their blog skins changed. Thus,I felt I really need to do something. Therefore, I decided to go to www.blogskins.com to change my blog skin and I did it with a help of a friend. I really feel contented. Bye-bye...

My September Holidays

Hi. School reopen is just a few days away. It is quite sad to say goodbye to this September holidays.
But, I will give you a brief summary of my holidays:

-On Monday, I played table-tennis with my cousin, Yu Kiong.

-On Tuesday, I went out with my primary school friends and my Chinese teacher, Miss Lau. My primary school friends who went out together were Clarence, Wei Ren, Rui Ying, Iris, Genevieve and Jeslyn. We went out to have steamboat and karaoke.

-On Wednesday, I played soccer, volleyball and table-tennis with Junwei,Yew Heng, Iris and Yenyi.

-On Thursday, I went to Junwei's house to play.

-On Friday, I went out with family and played soccer with friends after that.

All in all, this holidays is so much fun. Bye for now as my end-of-year is coming and I will not be blogging in the mean time.

It will be a tiring week for me. I have 5 tests in a week! I was shocked when I saw the "test booking" on my school's website ! Although, I had just taken 1 test. So, that means that there are 4 more tests to go. Oh My God !!! No time to continue and I wish that I can get good grades for these hectic but enjoyable Term 3. :)

June Holidays

Another long break has come for us to enjoy. The June holidays are here!!! Some of my friends have gone overseas while some are cooped up at their homes, sitting in front of their computer and playing their favourite games. For me, I think that this June Holiday is quite boring with a few activities. One of these is 6A'07 gathering. I hope that 3rd June will arrive faster as I am looking forward to this gathering. :)

EOTA

As you know, at the end of every term or year, we have a EOTA (End-Of-Term Activity)and different consortium had different activities. I am in aphelion and the day before, I had just had my "Aphelion Nite". "Aphelion Nite" is the night that gathers all aphelions in school together, regardless of their levels.
At that night, aphelions celebrate and different classes are asked to put up performances but my class 1D did not perform on stage as nobody volunteered to do so. It was held at the auditorium and I was able to watch this in air-conditioned comfort. We were also given light sticks and it was like a concert!!! There was all kind of performances, dancing, singing and some of them even composed songs of their own and sang it!!!
After that, we were asked to go to Kah Kee Hall to sleep. It was really hard to sleep there. Hence, I played with my friends chinese chess and chatted witth them. At 0000, light's out!!! At that moment, mischievous students shone their torchlights at people and even threw light sticks. I really had a hard time sleeping. At 0200, I finally slept.At 0500, I was woke up by my friends and was so tired as I had lack of sleep. Although, I changed into my school uniform an went to the canteen for breakfast. Later, I went to the terraces to sing the national anthem.After that, we back to class for PCME lesson and cleaning of calssroom.
Later, we had a brief on the EOTA which is amazing race. It was held at the Biotanic Garden. After that,we were guided by our buddies to coach that would bring us there. Once we reached the Biotanic Garden, we started our amazing race. It was vey tedious and tiring as all the different stations were so far from each other and I found out that my team was taking the same route over and over again to get to the stations. Finally, the amazing race was over. We were asked to go to the designated place for our coach but the coach had not even turned up after 1/2 an hour. then the coach reached the place and we boarded it with delight knowing that our waiting was over. Then after we reached the school, I was still required to go to my EP3 which is chinese chess. It was such a long day that I fell asleep once I had my dinner.
Although I think that this whole event was quite tiring, I am still looking forward to the next EOTA. Got to go now. Hope you like this post!

Day 3 of Orientation

It was the last day of the orientation. The activities in that day were quite fun and exciting. We were to play some team-building games and it was kind of a trail around the school. We were given clues and were required to decode it and reached the destination quickly. When we reached there, we were to complete 1 event before we were given a clue to another place. Our motive was to gather straws or other resources after completing every events and after pleasing the seniors with our loud cheering. We were to use this resources to build a tower at the end of the game. The destination was the LT2 which was the Lecture Theatre 2. We were taken on a Hwa Chong history trail. We were told of the history of the clock tower, the history of Hwa chong and its founder, Mr.Tan Kah Kee. We also went to the library and the heritage museum.After all this, we felt that we had learnt more about HCI's history and what's more important was that I knew more on how to walk to various places around the school.Later, it was lunch time. Then, we moved on to cheers practice and were prepared for the cheers competition. But in the end, due to poor time management, our group did not have the chance to cheer on stage. We, including our buddies, were all very upset and angry. But we did the cheers-'GO!FIGHT!WIN!', 'North South East West' and 'Countdown' we prepared in front of our buddies. Although we did not performed on stage, we too felt happy and satisfied to have such great buddies who taught cheers for the past 2 days. Then, it was time for the class allocation to be revealed. I was in class 1D. Then we were to line up properly according to our classes. Then we were to move onto the field classes by classes for the march-in parade which was going to be held on Wednesday, 3rd of January. It was so tiring. If you don't believe it, try standing under the scorching sun at 5pm in an open area!Then, it was debrief but it was different this time as it was the last day of the orientation. We did cheers for our buddies, Izumi and Andre and together with them, we did our signature cheers 'Rock You' on tables and chairs. It was really a great feeling of satisfactory. But it was kind of sad feeling to leave the buddies and the friends I had made in Group 1. Day 3 which was the last day had ended...

Day 2 of Orientation

Day 2 was quite a interesting and fun but tiring day for me. It was the day for all freshmen( Secondary 1 students) to try out some of the CCA which is called EP3 (Enhance Pupil Performance Programme) in HCI. At first, we were told to go to the auditorium for a short brief by a PE teacher. Later, we were to go to the field to do some sports. It was Track & Field. This included 5 major events- Medicine ball, long jump , high jump , sprinting and the last one I was not very sure what it was. We tried all these events and found it hard to complete it.After that, we were expected to try out the CCA- cross-country. We were required to run around the whole school and were leaded by 1 of the students who had joined X-country. It was very tiring and tedious but we all managed to complete it. Later, we had our so-called 'tea-break'. As I thought that the lunch was at 12 noon, I did not eat much. But my heart sank when I heard my buddies say that the lunch was going to be on 2pm as I had only eaten 1 curry puff and there was not much time left. But after that we went to for Judo. We were asked to take off our shoes and socks before entering. The seniors there taught us how to execute some of the Judo moves and that we were expected to do that. one by one to try it out and we all succeeded, knowing that the seniors purposely fell to the floor with a convincing thud. Later, it was air rifle. We were taught how to hold the rifle. But i could not do it because of 1 reason and I am not going to tell you T.T . It was kind of heart-wrenching. Sob... We went to the gym and was to watch a presentation. It was about canoeing but nobody was keen on joining it. Later we went for squash. I actually wanted to try it but I did not do so in the end as we were expected to sign up for the squash trial if we were to try it.Then, we went for gymnastic. We were to take off our shoes and socks too. Then, we watched a presentation and we were to do trampoline. I tried jumping but it was not successful and when I was going to jump off, i jumped into a hole accidentally but I managed to get out. It was so embarrassing that once I got out, I ran off for the exit.Finally, it was time for lunch. After that, we asked to go to the 'salt centre' to see the uniformed groups like NPCC, NCC , Scouts and St.John performed. After that, I decided to sign up for NPCC. It meant that if I had no CCA to choose and when I placed NPCC as my choices, I would have the priority and have a higher chance to get in.Then, there was debrief and I went home with Clarence.Day 2 had ended...

Day 1 of Orientation

On the 1st day, it was kind and sort of BORING at the beginnng as we only had the chance to learn cheers and cheer and icebreakers andnothing else more.I shouted till I had sore throat like anybody else in this orientation but luckily our Group 1's buddies had come prepared. They are Izumi and Andre. They had bought packets of strepils for us. Later, we had our lunch. After that, seniors in HCI came to our group to talk to us. They told us ghost stories, rumours and the fact that HCI is built on a Japanese Base in World War 2. After that, we went to the auditorium for a short talk and a lesson to teach how to sing the Chinese school Song. The music teacher guided us and taught how to pronouce some difficult chinese characters. Later, she asked students to pronouce it. At that moment, I thought all the students, including me, was praying and begging its not us to say it. Luckily, it was not me. Phew... Then, the principal arrived at the auditorium. We all asked to stand up. I though it was only to greet the principal but soon the school song was heard.At point of time, I thought it was crazy-telling us to sing the school when we only practice it a few times. WE WERE NOT GENIUS!!! Later, the principal introduced himself and gave us a short talk about the history of HCI. After that, it was time for the mass games. It was water bomb. Every group was asked to make a flag using newspaper and bamboo poles. Later we were to fill the plastic bags with water to make water bombs. We were to throw this water bomb to destroy the flags made by other groups in order to win. After hearing the instructions, we began filling up water bombs. In the end , we got the most number of water bombs as we had a head- start. But when the games began,and after a few minutes when I threw 1 water bomb, there was only less than half of the total water bombs at our base. But I think we got 2nd in this game. It is kind of fun and exciting. Day 1 had ended...

Phew... It was 1 day after I submited my Posting Option Form via internet. Afer a struggle and a long thought, I finally decided on the 6 secondary school that I wanted to enter. With my father's help, I put Hwa Chong Insitution as my first choice, Raffles Insitution as my second choice, River Valley as my third choice, NanHua as my forth choice, Clementi Town as my fifth choice and New Town as my last choice.
After submitting the option form, I was eased and relieved as I did not need to continue worrying anymore. I would also like to thank those people who had helped me to vote for the secondary schools as it really helped me a lot in making my decision with my father.Lastly, I would wish all the P6 in 2007 to enter their dream secondary schools.Good luck to all...

PSLE results...

Yesterday, which is 22 November, I went back to school to collect my PSLE overall results. I reached school at about 11.45a.m. accompanied my mother ,Yew Heng and his family.When we reached school, we walked to our friends, gathered around and chatted happily.Clarence was the 1st to reach the school.Soon, at about 11.55a.m., we walked nervously to the hall,worrying what score would we get.We sat in an orderly manner and waited for our results to be revealed. Soon, a bag of sweets was passed around and every student in 6A was asked to take three by our form teachers, Mrs Shahrin. After that , the school principal gave a speech about Secondary 1 posting. Then, the moments arrived...
The results was about to be revealed!All the pupils stared at the screen, all tensed up. Then, I saw my score on the screen and I was 1st! I stared at the screen, not believing my eyes.Soon, I was asked to stand up, followed by the rest that ranked 2nd , 3rd and so on.I was completely shocked and stunned!I almost broke into tears of joy! I turned around to look for my mother who was sitting in the columns and rows of chairs behind me and she waved jubilantly to me.I was so excited that I got 275!

A fun BBQ experience

On 4th November, Sunday, I went to Lim Jeck's house for BBQ.I was really excited about the BBQ as that was the first time for me. I discussed with my friends where we could meet and go to Lim Jeck's condo together.There, we waited for our friends before moving towards our destination.
When we reached there, there was already a lot of people. Then, we entered Lim Jeck's room and many of our friends were already engrossed in playing computer games like Maplestory or Audition.After a while, some of my friends and I carry the things we brought to the BBQ pit with Jeremy and I leading the way. It was kind of tiring and tedious climbing up the stairs, carrying huge and heavy plastic bags containing foob, fruits and drinks.
When we first reached the BBQ pit,Lim Jeck's father was already there to prepare for the BBQ.After carrying all the things to the BBQ pit, we arranged the food and drinks.After that,my friends and I let our hair down. My friends except Jeremy and Wei Fun played in the shallow pool and get wet. Some had been pulled in to the pool by my freinds.Poor things...But luckily,Wei Fun,Jeremy and I escaped from it.Phew...Then, our teacher, Mrs Shahrin arrived.After all the activities,it was time to go up to the BBQ pit for BBQ. There was a lot of things including fruits like watermelons,others like ice cream,fried rice, chicken wings,marshmallows and many others food that would make you drool. There, we also saw our Chinese teacher, Miss Lau and her boyfriend/husband(not very sure). Then we began BBQing the food and enjoy the BBQed food and some drinks.During the process, our techer took photographs of us.
After that, we went to the badminton court and started playing badminton in air-coditioned comfort.It was so fun in there! After a while, I was shocked to see that my friends were plaiyng table-tennis, wondering where they got the table.Then, at about 9, we went back to Lim Jeck's unit and continued to play the computer games.At about 9.45, I went down and returned home with my father after biding goodbye to my friends.In summary, this BBQ will be an unforgetable and memorable experince for me.

Finally, PSLE is over !!! I am now waiting for my results to be revealed. I hope that it's not that bad. I am still going to school as normal but in a different mood.Before PSLE, I went to school with a heavy heart, worrying about my PSLE. But after it, I am very happy when I go to school as I will get to play sports such as soccer and badminton, do projects with my friends and have a whale of time there.The P6 prefects will also be organising a Graduation Day for all P6 students,including me!!!I really look forward to it and I am really grateful to the prefects for spending their time to make this event successful.Competitions such as soccer and badminton competiotion is also held.I am also participating in these events and bring glory to 6A!!!!!!

I am really happy and jubilant now.We had acheive a lots of things. Take for example, Lim Jeck had been invited and chosen by RI to participate in the Mathematics World Contest 2007 in Hong Kong. He will be going there for 5 days from 14th-18th July. One of our entries from 6A for the 2007 Singapore Youth Festival Art & Craft Competition clinched a *GOLD* award. Our whole class is very proud and happy of all the acheivements. To add on to our joy, 4 of my classmates and I (Plantinum,Gold,Silver and Bronze)had done well in the Maths Olympiad. This is a competition organized by Hwa Chong Insitution, named Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad. All the acheivements cannot be acheived without our form teacher, Mrs Shahrin. So be thankful to our teacher!!! >.< I hoped that our classmates can win the championship of the Scrabble Competition. Good luck to all of the Scrabblers!!! >.<

Sungei Buloh trip

It was yet another exciting trip for me. It was the Sungei Buloh trip. I went to Sungei Buloh days ago. There are a lots of things for us to observe and find out. Its name, Sungei Buloh , is also very special. I will tell you why later.....

Its name , Sungei Buloh , has its meaning. Suungei means bamboo and Buloh means river. Thus, Sungei Buloh is Bamboo River.

Now, i will talk about the things that happened there. When we reached there, we were told to enter the "theatre" and watch a show about the plants and animals in Sungei Buloh and the importance of conserving Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve , their habitats.

After that, a guide led us around the place. After walking for a distance, we stopped at a orchid tree. The guide explained to us that the white orchids turns red in the evening and it will withers the next day and will land on the ground.

After that, we were having a break at the shelter. When we reached there , the tides were low and did not reach the mangrove plants. But hours later,when we were returning, it was high tides and simply the whole land is flooded with salty water. I could not believe my own eyes then.

Not long after , we came upon a box fruit tree. The reason being called a box fruit tree is simple as it really had a fruit that looks like a box. Not only that , its fruit can also be used to catch fish in the water.

Again, we were having a rest at one of the shelter. When we looked beneath, we saw a large mudskipper. We were elated. At the shelter, the guide also explained to us that the roots, around the trees, pointing out serve as breathing roots for plants and trees to take in air from the surroundings. There are different types of breathing roots.

After that , the guide told us that when its high tides , the mangrove plants will trap salt from the salty water so aso to have enough salt for survival when it is low tides. To prove this, the guide even told us to try the salt on the leaves and she herself tasted it too !!!! Some of my friends also tried the salt. The guide also told us how to spot the leaves with the salt. She explained that the leaves that shine and glisten under the Sun rays are the one that had salt on it.

Next, we saw a monitor lizard in front of us. My friends and I approached it quietly and carefully , but to no avail, it escaped into the woods.

After that, we also saw a few beautiful white birds flying past us . Upon seeing that, the guide told us that birds migrate from their countries to Sungei Buloh for a period of time.

After the tiring but exciting trip, we returned and had a "party" at yet another shelter of Sungei Buloh. We had the cookies and cakes Lim Jeck's mother made and had the drinks our teacher, Mrs Shahrin, brought for us. Not long after, we left Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

I hoped that i will have the chance to visit Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve again. That's it. View another of my blog to see more......

A learning journey to zoo.......

It had been days after my zoo trip and i got to say that it is a really interesting and eye-opening trip for me . I had never seen so many animals in one shot. You can see any animals you want to see there. For examples: polar bears, kangaroos, giraffes, flamingoes, white tigers, elephants and etc. You need not make trips to other countries to see the animals, you can observed them closely in their enclosures in the Singapore Zoo!!! You can see a elephant imported from Afica and a polar bear imported from the South Pole after walking a short distance.

At the Zoo, we visited the alligators. They were like logs when I did not look closely!!! This is a great way to camoflague as their bodies' colours is the same as the logs and they could catch their preys easily.

Next, we visited the white tigers. They are white and had black strips across their white bodies.They are also very rare and they are constantly threatened to extinct. I think that they are very intricating . When I looked at them, they suddenly jumped onto a rock and everyone was flabbergasted. The white tigers is also one of the animals I liked most.

At the zoo, i also saw interesting animals like polar bears, giraffes and ostrichs. One of the ostrichs even tried to peck one of my friend's shoes. Luckily, my friend reacted quickly and dodged it or he would have become the "victim" of the ostrich.

Just as i thought that the zoo is all about animals only, the big, enormous water lily changed my viewpoint. At the zoo, i saw a large water lily. i think that it can be used as a cot for the little baby to rest on. i also saw pineapple tree where they put a fake pineaplle there =.=''' There is a lot of amazing things there and i can't tell it to you one by one, thus you must go there to experience it yourself.
